About Us

Welcome to our clinical practice, Child, Adolescent and Adult Treatment Specialists (CHATS).

As therapists in this practice our core focus is on competent and expert treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families.

We strive to provide a comfortable, skillful, and accepting environment to work through life’s difficulties. As clinicians, we continuously research, study and remain up-to-date on best treatment practices, developmental theory, diagnostic issues, and how to best serve our clientele.  Additionally, we recognize and value our clients’ strengths, ideas, resources and skills in working collaboratively on developing treatment plans that will lead to desired and healthy changes.

Therapy will progress based on what you as an individual, or your child and/or adolescent as an individual, presents at the time treatment begins and as it continues.

A comprehensive history will be taken at the first session in which both you and/or your youth’s concerns and symptoms will be assessed and addressed. Your therapist will then discuss with you the appropriate treatment and/or treatments s/he feels would best address the particular concerns and symptoms presented. Progress will be addressed and assessed continuously throughout treatment as well.

about_usResearch continues to demonstrate that adult and youth psychotherapy is effective (The Heart and Soul of Change, 2nd Edition. Duncan, Miller, Wampold and Hubble, 2010) in helping individuals make and sustain positive and healthy changes in their lives. We hope to help and serve you and/or your child or teen in this endeavor.
